Energy Excelerator

The PICHTR Energy Excelerator is focused on solving the world’s energy challenges, starting in Hawaii. The Energy Excelerator helps innovative companies develop and commercialize renewable-energy solutions by securing funding from both the public and private sources. Funding comes from the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Energy, and large companies in the Hawaii, Japan, and the Philippines. We are now expanding our reach to Palau, Micronesia, New Zealand, Samoa and Vietnam.

At any time, dozens of projects are underway and many entrepreneurs backed by the PICHTR Energy Excelerator have gone on to enjoy commercial success. To date, entrepreneurs in the PICHTR Energy Excelerator have secured over $350 million in combined funding through PICHTR and our network of partners.
